Fresh Shrimp JambalayaFresh shrimp Jambalaya
1 1/2 to 2 lbs of Fresh Gulf Shrimp 1/4 chopped green pepper 1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped onion to taste 1/4 cup butter 1 tablespoon flour 2-3 teaspoons of chili powder to taste 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper white or black 1/4 teaspoon red pepper 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon vinegar optional 2 cups peeled, chopped tomatoes 1 10 or 12 oz package of frozen sliced okra, thawed 2 cups hot cooked rice.
Peel, devein and rinse Fresh Gulf shrimp Saute Onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Combine Flour and all of dry ingredients. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and vinegar until smooth. Add okra and tomatoes. Stirring Constantly until thickened. Add Fresh Gulf shrimp and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Do not over cook. Stir in rice. Serves 3 to 6 People
